Ingredients:
• Channa dal - 3 cups
• Onions - 2 large
• Green chilies - 6
• Curry leaves - Few
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
• Ginger - 1-inch piece
• Garlic - 3 flakes
• Cinnamon - 1 small stick
• Feennel seeds ( somp) - 1 tab spoon
• Cloves - 3
• oil - For deep fry
• Salt to taste -
Method:
Soak the channa dal for two hours and drain it.Mince
finely the onions, green chilies, coriander and curry
leaves. Crush ginger,garlic,cinnamon,fennel seeds and
cloves together. Grind the channa dal with salt into
coarse grains. Mix everything nicely to make a dough.
Make the dough into flat rounds. Heat oil in a pan.
Deep fry the dough rounds in oil to golden brown on
both side. Drain the oil and serve with tomato ketch-up
or chutney.
